Girls Basketball can't catch up to Farmington

Farmington 64, Newington 22: Newington was no match for the undefeated Farmington girls basketball squad, which is now 15-0 on the season. Newington, meanwhile, drops to 5-10.

Farmington got out to a big lead right away as it was up 17-5 after the first quarter and 34-8 at the half. Newington had a better showing in the third quarter but it was too little too late.

Leading the way for Newington in the loss Emalie Freitas with nine points. Leading the way for Farmington were Sophie Borg (20 points) and Hannah Friend (19 points).
