Girls Basketball has big win over Maloney

Nine different players found the scoresheet, highlighted by 11 points each from Lilley Ferguson and Madison Romanello, and Maloney didn’t register double digits in any of the four quarters as Newington cruised to an easy 59-13 victory to move to 4-0 on the season.

Newington started fast, scoring 16 points in the first quarter and entered the halftime break up 35-8. The team then added 18 points in the third before easing up in the fourth.

In addition to Ferguson and Romanello, Alexie Armour finished with eight points and eight rebounds, Arianna Barnes notched eight points as well , while Marlie Zocco scored seven points.
